Who I am

At age 2, my mom noticed me struggling to keep up with kids on the playground. A few months and a biopsy later, I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. A few years and a DNA test later, I was diagnosed officially with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, specifically the Collagen VI subtype, meaning my DNA could not make the Collagen VI protein to make my muscles function properly. However, my weak muscles and tight joints contributed to my intellect and confidence—because where there’s a ramp, there’s a way.

I grew up on-stage or on-camera for charities like the MDA or Make-A-Wish. I initially aspired to be an author or actress, and then when I had to schedule, manage, and run my personal care team for college, I realized how good I am at managing multiple moving parts at once.

Now, I am a full-time student at UNC Charlotte, majoring in Communications with a specialization in Media & Technology. I am minoring in Computer Science (specifically Human-Centered Design) and am acquiring a dual certificate and minor in Video Production.

While I am a project manager and planning to pursue that professionally, I am still passionate about entertainment and storytelling. I continue to make content on Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram, and I am also beginning to utilize YouTube. I still love video games, movies, and books and advocate for higher-quality disability representation in these mediums.

I love what I do, succeed at what I do, and can’t wait to see what else I can do.
